Help Joseph Achieve his Tennis Dream

My name is Joseph Renfrow, and I started my tennis journey five years ago at a program called TeamFAME. It was one of the most amazing opportunities that I've ever had. I never knew how much it would impact my life. Now that I've completed the four-year program and am in my sophomore year of high school, I have a choice: either take tennis seriously or keep it as a hobby. With no hesitation, I chose to make a commitment and give my life to this sport.
TeamFAME is for kids like me who didn't start out with many opportunities. By being in the program, I'm learning that it's okay to try new things and to take risks, even if they seem scary. Going to the academy is a little scary, but it will be a dream come true. It takes a lot of hard work on the court, but I'll be learning so much more off the court. And it won't be just for me, but for the other TeamFAMErs who I'll stay in touch with—they'll know they can reach for their dreams too.
I love this sport so much; it's more of an obsession with it. No matter what day it is, I'll still find a way to play tennis and continue to improve my game every day. When I finished middle school, I didn't know how I was going to continue my tennis journey. Then I found the MET High School as an opportunity to support my tennis journey, balance my academics, and continue to take classes online through the MET School.
My dream is to enroll in an academy in Spain for six months. This will provide me with a platform to immerse myself in tennis and provide the time and hours to commit to the sport. My goal is to play tennis in college, and this is a way for me to advance my level of play and receive intense training.
I’m currently playing tennis in Rhode Island, where there is no or very little access and resources for high school players. Attending the academy will provide me with a pathway to greater success and a better position to reach my goal of becoming a college tennis player.
I am hoping to raise $28,000 for me to go have my training at the High Training Intensity Academy. All of the money will be used for the academy and for the flight tickets as well. If you can't donate at the moment, please share with your friends and family. Thank you for taking the time to read my story.
