Help Joseph travel to Helsingborg, Sweden to teach
Donation protected
My name is Joseph Tebandeke, and I'm a disabled dancer, teacher and choreographer from Uganda. I believe dance is a language that all can access. In Uganda, I have set up platforms and projects that make people with and without disabilities in Africa believe in themselves. I have had the honor to work in different locations such as the Freiburg contact improvisation festival (Germany 2019), East Africa Nights of Tolerance (Rwanda 2017), Tuzinne Festival Where Human Rights Dance (Uganda 2017 - 2018), Ubumuntu Arts
Festival (Rwanda 2018) and Segou’ Art (Mali 2019).
Now I have the opportunity to teach at the Next Generation program at the Bibu - Biennial for children and youth in Sweden, Helsingborg, in May 2022, and I need your help to get there. I would love to raise this money to purchase my plane tickets, insurance and visa.
Plane tickets: $850
Visa: $200
Insurance: $150
The festival happens from the 17th of May until the 22nd of May, 2022 and I hope to raise the funds by February 10th so that I have enough time to apply for my visa. Thank you for your help and support. I wouldn't be able to do this without you.

I hope to share a contemporary dance to youth with and without disabilities. It is a passion that fuels me to this day.
