Help Josephine & Oscar Alvarez-Salazar Rebuild Their Lives!

Donation protected
Several of our colleagues in JPL's Section 343 (the Guidance and Control section) have tragically lost their homes in the Eaton Wildfire. Such is the case with our colleague, Oscar Alvarez-Salazar, and his wife Josephine. This loss is particularly painful for our Section because Oscar is our Section Manager and is so well-respected by all. His home was often the venue for Section events!! This loving family quickly evacuated from their home and lost virtually all of their possessions and cherished memories.

Josephine and Oscar have three children: Elise, Edrik, and Ethan. Elise is a graduate student at UCSD, Edrik is an undergrad at UC Riverside, and Ethan attends La Canada High School. Their beloved dog, Ukiyo, is also an important part of the family. Josephine works for the Pasadena Unified School District. Oscar has been with JPL for 24 years and is known for his leadership and fairness. He is an avid woodworker, loves roasting and brewing coffee, and was a dedicated volunteer for his children's AYSO teams. Oscar and his family attend Saint Bede the Venerable Catholic Church in La Canada.

All funds will be directly donated to the family as they rebuild their lives and get back on their feet. Any donation would be appreciated.
