Help Josephine fund Summer Tuition at UNC

Hello everyone! My name is Denise Santiago, and I'm holding this fundraiser on behalf of my sister, Josephine Santiago, for a summer enrichment program at The University of North Carolina Chapel Hill. Josephine will be on campus for five weeks, taking a college-leveled course and attending SAT-ACT coaching classes.

As a rising senior at Hunt High school, Josephine is in the Top Five of her class. Additionally, she is involved in a variety of organizations and programs. She is a part of 3 clubs: the Spanish Club, the Science Club and the Young Crafters Club–as the Vice President. At Hunt, she is a member of the Women's Chorus, National Honors Society, and AVID. Josephine is also a member of the Wilson Youth Council and the YMCA Young Leaders Institute outside of school.

Attending the summer enrichment program would be beneficial for Josephine's development. She will be able to immerse herself in a college setting, take a college-leveled course for college credit and most importantly, take SAT-ACT coaching classes and talk to students/advisors at the university to help guide her with college admissions.

Being a female Latina student has many obstacles, and we are often underrepresented and have limited information needed to be accepted and thrive at a University.
