Help Josephine’s family have a home
Donation protected
Hi! My name’s Jenn and I’m fundraising for Josephine Omoy, a friend of mine who I met while living in Rwanda.
Josephine has a passion for life and is always looking for ways to improve herself, build community and support her family. This last year while she was on a religious mission her mother died, leaving behind 4 younger children still at home.
Josephine returned from her mission and immediately took the responsibility of taking care of her four younger brothers, Daniel (10), Meshak (12), Shadrack 15, and Theophile 16.
Jobs are hard to come by and even though Josephine has a degree from her home country, Congo, it is competitive. She recently secured a job as a nurse.
I’ve asked her to describe her life situation in her own words below. Currently, her landlord has asked her family to move so he can build a shop. They have a home their Mother was building, but it still needs to be finished. To finish the home, so it can at least provide shelter, the estimated cost is $800 (including the cost of sending the money to Congo).
We are shooting to raise $3,500 to cover the cost of the roof of the house, to make structural repairs for it to be suitable and safe, furnishings, school fees for the brothers, along with fees for using gofundme, and transaction fees.
Josephine needs to relocate her family within 3 weeks. Building the roof will take a week.

I am Josephine Omoy. My mom and my dad divorced, and my mom was the one taking care of my younger brothers and me.
My mom was diabetic, my mom passed away when I was on full-time missionary.
I decided to go back Home to Kalemie/DRC to stay with my younger brothers. That is not easy for me.
I'm nurse, I got Job at police Hospital, they pay me $25 per month instead of I need $250 per month for basic needs.
I work 10h per day, 5 days per week to get paid $25 per month.
I'm online BYU-Idaho student I take 8 hour per day to do my online assignment. I spent 4 hour with my young brothers and some of my day off to stay with my young brothers.
