Help Jose's Family Bring Him Home
Donation protected
Many of us have used Complete Tree Services (Manuel) to trim our trees over the last few years. Unfortunately, on Friday 9/13/24, one of his workers was electrocuted and died while trimming trees in Overland Park.
Johnson County MED-ACT and Overland Park Fire Department responded to the incident just before 2:15 p.m. in the area of W. 129th Street and Connell.
His name was Jose David Hernandez Zarate and he leaves behind his wife and 3 daughters (between 4 and 11 years old) who are in Oaxaca, Mexico. They have no insurance and they are trying to raise the money to pay to transport his body to Mexico so his family can properly bury him. The funeral expense at Larkin and Garcia funeral home, including transportation back to Mexico, is about $11,000. Manuel said that any help with expenses will be appreciated. All funds raised will be given to Manuel for reimbursement for expenses he has already paid to the funeral home to send Jose home.
Any money that we donate will be given to Manuel as he is dealing with the funeral home for the family.
If you feel inclined to help, I know Manuel and the family would appreciate it very much. We will make sure the money gets to Manuel and the family.
