Support for Mr. Josh Bacher and His Family

We are heartbroken to share that Mr. Josh Bacher, a beloved kindergarten teacher at PS16, lost his brother Danny suddenly on December 16, 2024. Josh and Danny shared an incredible bond—not only as brothers but as best friends and collaborators. Together, they brought joy and inspiration to so many through their work with Liberty Camp and their comedic educational videos for children. One of their most cherished creations is the PS16 Pledge of Allegiance video, where Josh voiced the puppet and Danny brought the character of Uncle Morty to life.

Josh and Danny also worked tirelessly on projects for the school community. They co-organized and performed in the Vaudeville Show, a comedic fundraiser that raised $3,000 toward the $31,000 cost of the soft surface for the PS16 annex. Their shared passion for bringing joy and making a difference has left a lasting impact on so many lives.

During this unimaginably difficult time, we want to come together as a community to support Josh and his family. Donations can help provide comfort food for the family, contribute toward memorial service expenses, or ease the burden of other unexpected costs they may face.

Josh has always been an incredible source of joy and support for our children, creating a warm, engaging environment for learning. Now, it’s our turn to be there for him.
