Help Josh, Darlene, and Arlo Recover From Losing Everything

When our home burned down in the Palisades Fire, we lost everything. Every childhood photo, every family heirloom, every sentimental item from our entire lives. We were traveling and it is heartbreaking that we could save absolutely nothing. Our wedding rings were left at home for safekeeping and are gone forever. We are incredibly sentimental people and it brought us such joy to keep a house full of items that remind us of our amazing time with friends and family. Every holiday card and wedding invitation you have ever sent us we saved, and are now gone. Every momento from our wonderful times with you is lost forever. There is nothing we can do to replace these.

Beyond our items, we lost our happy life we had built. Our joy and sense of settling down to raise a family there are shattered. We are no strangers to hardship in life, but it really hurts to finally feel like everything was going right for once and have it all taken away.

We are incredibly grateful that we are safe and Arlo was safely in daycare far away from the fires. We are faced with the incredibly painful task of reliving every item we lost, mentally walking though each destroyed room and drawer. It is not at all in our nature to ask for much from others, but at this moment, we really truly need your help to meet immediate temporary needs to get back on our feet. Anything you can provide towards that will be forever remembered and we will be eternally grateful for.
