Help Joshua Bring Smiles to Orthodontic Patients

Hi, my name is Joshua Spitzer and I am fundraising for my Governor’s school senior capstone project to provide electric toothbrushes to orthodontic patients in need.

Why? Because patients who are in braces are at a far more increased risk of developing oral health related diseases. One of the main causes for these life altering diseases is plaque concentrated on and around patients’ teeth. However, after completing research lasting multiple months and writing a concluding research paper, I found that electric toothbrushes can more than half the amount of plaque on a patient’s teeth. As a result, I want to bring this technology to people who typically would be greatly impacted by a purchase such as this.
