Hello, I’m Joshua Ratusny. I'm 22 years old and was born in Marietta, GA. My family moved to KY in 2003. I started playing inline hockey when I was 5 years old and graduated to ice hockey in Owensboro, KY. I was on the Owensboro Rampage travel team and we won State Championship (2020). In middle school I played basketball and football. I have always played multiple sports during my school years and fell in love with Volleyball. I currently attend Lawrence Technical Institute as an outside hitter.
Volleyball has been more than just a sport to me – it’s been my passion and my journey. From the moment I stepped onto the court in 2020, I knew I had found my calling. Today, I stand proud as a member of the USA National Men’s Deaf Volleyball team (USADV)!
But this isn’t just about me. It’s about representing our country on the world stage, and I need your support to make it happen.
In 2024 and 2025, the USADV team has ambitious plans – from Washington DC to Japan, we’re on a mission to showcase our skills and bring home victory. But I can’t do it alone. That’s why I’m reaching out to you today.
Our next challenge? The World Championship in Okinawa, Japan, this June. It’s a chance for us to make history, but it comes with significant costs – travel, hotels, meals, and more. We’ve crunched the numbers, and we estimate it will take at least $15,000 to make this dream a reality.
Your contribution, no matter how big or small, can make a difference. Together, we can show the world what dedication, passion, and determination can achieve. Every dollar brings me one step closer to representing our country with pride and honor.
Please, join me on this journey. Your generosity will not only support a deaf athlete’s dream but also inspire countless others to reach for the stars.
Thank you for believing in me. Together, let’s shout loud and proud: GO USA!
Warm regards,
Joshua Ratusny
