Help Joshua Reeves in His Final Journey

Thank you for taking the time to read our story.
This fundraiser is for my younger brother, Joshua Reeves. He was diagnosed last August with stage 4 esophageal cancer. He was living in Kentucky at the time in a phenomenal recovery center. He was close to a year clean and had finally found, in his words, a once-in-a-lifetime job.
The cancer proved to be aggressive and brutal, spreading throughout his entire body. Though it was not curable, we hoped the chemo might help slow it down to allow him to spend much-needed time with his daughter and family.
Josh moved back to Indiana in September with family. He continued his chemo treatments. He had a great staff at IU West that cared for him deeply. There is not a perfect word to describe the care, the love, and the kindness that he received. He was very thankful and expressed it often.
That love and kindness allowed him to see that he was worthy and, like everyone, deserves the very best. Like many, he struggled with past decisions and regrets. At times, when he was consumed by this, it allowed for deep conversations. These conversations quickly turned into our saying, "looking forward, never back." Our past does not define us.
Being back in Indy kept him busy. Not only with doctor appointments but lots of time with family. Whether playing PlayStation, watching movies, or snuggling with the 3 dachshunds, he knew, and so did we, he was right where he was supposed to be, with family.
Unfortunately, Josh's updated scans in January showed that the chemo did not slow the cancer and his time was short.
Any funds received will help with the wonderful hospice facility caring for him and his celebration of life.
Again, thank you for reading our story. We appreciate any support.
