Help Josie and Armands recover from Hurricane Ian
Donation protected
Hello everyone!
I'm Caitlen and I'm writing on behalf of my cousin Josie Jeknevics.
On September 28 and 29, 2022 her and the lives of her family: Armands Jeknevics (husband) and AJ (their 8 month old son) changed.
They lived on their farm property with their various pets and farm animals. They worked together to prepare for Hurricane Ian knowing that they would get hit, but based on the news never imagining the damage it would end up causing.
The water inside the house rose to 5 feet and outdoors 10-12 feet with creeks and rivers overflowing. It was a terrifying experience as the water kept rising during the entire night not knowing if they would make it and worried about their baby, they had no power for 2 days and were stuck in water. She took her indoor pets and her baby, leaving behind everything else but by the grace of God they survived. Cars, house, coops, outdoor animals, and all valuable and personal belongings are gone. They were rescued by airboat and haven't been back since due to road closures and extreme flooding.
Josie has many baby expenses and her family lost everything , so if you feel called and able to we first ask for prayers and next for any financial assistance you're able to give. This money will help them get back on their feet including basic baby items and medical bills for her baby, acquiring a car for the family to share, bills, and any other basics to help them start rebuilding their lives and home.
