Hi, my name is Jonathan, and I’m asking for your help on behalf of an extraordinary woman, Josie Archuleta, a loving, hardworking, and resilient single mom from Riverside, CA. Her life has been defined by overcoming challenge after challenge—but this time, she can’t do it alone.

Josie is deaf and the proud mother of two children, one of whom is mentally challenged and has been diagnosed with a severe brain disorder. He is currently homeless, and Josie has been doing everything in her power to hold her family together. She works full-time at Nordstrom as an Inbound Receiving Call Associate, earning a modest income.

Despite being born deaf, enduring years of speech barriers, and undergoing elbow surgery in 2021 and shoulder surgery in 2022, Josie fought to stay employed and independent. She refuses to give up—not for herself, and definitely not for her children.

But now, she’s facing a crisis that could cost her everything.

Her 2014 Nissan Sentra—the only car she owns—has a failed CVT transmission. The replacement cost is $5,000, and she needs it done within two weeks. Without it, she will no longer be able to get to work and risks losing the job that keeps her and her children afloat.

Right now, Josie is relying on friends to give her rides to work. It’s temporary and stressful—and soon, that lifeline will run out.

This car isn’t just a vehicle—it’s her freedom, her stability, and her connection to a better future for her family. She truly loves this car. She’s fought to maintain her independence for years, and we don’t want to see all of that disappear now.
