Help Jovan to have a healthy and better life!

 

Jovan is a two years old twin who recently was diagnosed with Boston/Washington/Lepore syndrome (clinical case for Beta Thalassemia major). He is the only patient with this syndrome in his country.

 

His condition is challenging since he constantly needs blood transfusion. That has its own side effects, like spleen and liver enlargement. The only available cure for his condition is marrow transplantation with a suitable donor. One really positive thing is the fact that his twin sister (Lena) is a fully compatible donor (100% match).

For all of this to happen, the family needs an unimaginable amount of money (190 000 euros). The money will cover the costs for the transplantation itself, and the treatment before and after the operation. Which will probably last few months. Everything will be done at Bambino Gesù hospital in Rome, Italy. The hospital is specialised children hospital and most experienced for this kind operations and treatments.

The family is well aware that this amount of money is very difficult to collect, but they have no other means at their disposal, so please donate or share this to help them.
