Help Joy Recover From Mild Traumatic Brain Injury
Donation protected
On January 8th, Joy sustained a mild Traumatic Brain Injury (mTBI) while sledding. (An mTBI occurs from a mild blow to the head, either with or without loss of consciousness.)
Although "mild," Joy's symptoms have been more severe, ranging from headaches, light sensitivity, balance problems, nausea, dizziness, constant pain, etc. She has had to devote herself to rest and restrict her activities to allow her brain to recover.
The mTBI has also prevented her from working, making it difficult to pay for her rent, groceries, and other financial responsibilities. Her medical debt is also growing from Vestibular Physical Therapy, Vision Therapy, and seeing a doctor specializing in concussions.
We need your URGENT help to raise enough money for Joy to continue her therapies and focus on healing without being overburdened by the costs of her medical care and living expenses.
In addition to GIVING, there are other ways you can help:
Drop off groceries (she is a vegetarian)
Pay a bill (e.g.: electric, cell phone, water, etc.)
