Help JT get a leg up!

Hi, my name is Dannielle Frey and I’m doing this fundraiser for my husband JT Frey. As you may have heard recently J.T had his left leg amputated below the knee. He has for the last 6 years been dealing with Charcot in his foot as well as repeated infections. Since April of 2022 he has fought off 3 infections in his left foot. With each infection his Charcot got worse and worse. This left him with only the decision to amputate his lower leg. You may or may not know that J.T was already on disability which has made things already difficult. Today we got some news that is a set back. The prosthetic leg, that will allow him to walk again, alone cost over $13,000.00. Insurance is paying for some of this, but it still leaves a large amount of money due for us to pay.

Many of you have known J.T. for a long time. You may have coached with him, played football with him or known him through his time bartending around Carlisle. J.T. has loved hunting, fishing, football and just being outdoors his entire life. He loves spending time with me and our three kids. He has been left to mostly sit around in his chair watching the world go on without him. The last rounds of infections really brought the big man down. The pain he was feeling on a daily basis was almost too much for him to bare. He wanted to get his life back. He really listened to the advice of his doctors and did a lot of soul searching. He finally came to the conclusion that this amputation was going to be the only way to get his life back. He would be able to take a walk with me, go for a hike, hunt, fish and do things he wants to do around the house and cabin. To be honest I want my husband back. If you know J.T, you know he can be a determined and stubborn individual. You would also know that he doesn’t ask much, if anything, from anyone. He generally has a hard time asking for help. If you know him, then you know these things to be true.

Please help J.T out so he can get his life back. We all want to see that smile return to the big guy’s face again. Thank you for taking time to read this.
