In October 2021, my fiancé,  Jude Trujillo, a Marine Vetran,  was diagnosed with stage 4 esophageal cancer. For the past 4 months, Judes sister, Sheri,  and I have taken turns getting Jude to Chemo and various Dr appointments.  Because Jude has been ill, he has used up all his sick days and has not been able to work much.   Radiation will begin soon, and with this comes 5 long weeks away from home, family, friends, and only FMLA to assure his job is held for him. Unfortunately,  this has taken a toll both mentally and financially.
