Help with Judie's Funeral Expenses.

In loving memory of Judith (Judie) Rhymer of Killeen, Texas; a mother, a sister, and a great friend to many.

On Sunday, July 21, 2024, Judie lost her battle with breast cancer. She passed away peacefully in her sleep at home.

She was an amazing lady with a quick wit and infectious smile. Judie was great at making everyone laugh, from her family and long-time friends from Iowa where she grew up, to even her cancer doctors as they were treating her. She was a kind hearted and loyal friend to many. But most of all, Judie was an amazing mother to her sons, Christopher (Paula) and Philip.

Judie also leaves behind her older sister Mary Knowles, brother John Wells (RoseMarie), and younger sister Barbara Horner, as well as many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents Clarence Wells and Venona Wells, her nephew Steven Trujillo (Barb’s son) and her great-nephew Devin Trujillo (Barb’s grandson).

As a pro-shop manager at the Killeen municipal golf course and as a hotel general manager at Baymont Inn, she was a friendly, familiar, and welcoming face to many customers who also became her personal friends. Judie touched the hearts of many who she met.

Judie never wanted people to fuss over her and would hate to be center of attention. Sadly there will be arrangement costs outside of Christopher’s and Philip’s means.

Friends, customers and people who knew and loved Judie, have asked where they can send flowers. Rather than flowers, with Christopher and Philip’s consent, this ‘Go Fund Me’ page is being set up should anyone desire to make a donation to help with the financial burden her family is facing. All money raised will help during this heart-breaking and devastating time. Any donation will make a huge difference and will be immensely appreciated. Blessing to all.
