Help Judy and Peter after devastating house fire.
Donation protected
Hi, I'm Rebecca.
On Sunday Feb 16th, my neighbours Judy and Peter tragically lost their home, car and a beloved pet in a devastating house fire.
Peter and Judy have lived in Roleystone for 44 years. Sharing the beautiful produce grown in their garden, from selling chicken eggs and sharing fruit with their neighbours, as well as sharing their wealth of knowledge about how best to grow and care for fruit trees. We have been so lucky to have them as our neighbours.
They also lost their elderly dog, Pippa (15) in the house fire and any pet owner couldn't begin to imagine the heartbreak that has caused.
Judy and Peter have been an integral part of the community for many years, including owning and running a local business (Roleystone hot bread and pizzas) for nearly 13 years, working 7 days a week and only taking off 1 day a year to celebrate Christmas. They both spent their time coaching local sport teams, being president of local clubs while also holding positions on committees. They had their time filled to the brim and even being as busy as they were, they were still supporting our very own local football and cricket teams with donations and produce. Once they sold the business, they decided to retire and live a bit of a quieter lifestyle. Boy they deserve it!
While fundraising won't replace everything that was lost, it will hopefully get them back on their feet a little quicker.
Times are tough for a lot of people now, so anything that you are able to donate will be incredibly appreciated. We live in such a beautiful, helpful community so let's show our neighbours just how much we appreciate them!
