Help Julia fundraise for Covenant House

Hello everyone!

On November 7th, I will be running the Golden Gate Half Marathon and raising money to benefit Covenant House Vancouver. While I was working in the Downtown Eastside of Vancouver, I met a lot of wonderful people and they have motivated me to learn more about the stigmatization of homelessness and the unique barriers they face when accessing care. I was shocked to hear about the trauma many of them have suffered throughout their lives.

Many youth become homeless in order to escape toxic home environments where they experienced abuse, but there is still a lack of empathy for the hardships they face and a perception that they are homeless because of their own bad decisions. Unfortunately, that leads to a lack of funding and resources to help support these people. I'm hoping to help support youth experiencing homelessness with this fundraiser. Any donation will help make an impact.

Thanks in advance for your contribution to this cause, it means a lot to me!
