Help Julia Garrels BEAT CANCER

Hello All, Julia Garrels' (Borgeson) is my sister. I am Trinja, and her twin sister is Corianna. Julia's life has taken a huge unexpected curve. Julia went into Urgent Care on May 25th for what she thought was a running injury. She has always been an exemplary model of good health. However, with an oddly swollen leg, her husband Lars took her to the hospital . After a Doppler Ultrasound was done on her legs and abdomen to rule out blood clots, a much more serious discovery was made. A mass was detected in her abdomen. She was quickly admitted, and after 2 days of tests, scans, biopsy and more ultrasounds, they found three cancerous masses considered to be a rare Carcinosarcoma of unknown origin. One of the masses is resting on a major vein leading to her leg, thus the swollen leg.

She was soon assigned an oncologist at the Swedish Cancer Institute in Edmonds, Washington. The doctor saw the aggressive nature of this fast growing cancer and got Julia ready for treatment. Julia has been undergoing Chemotherapy for a month now. She will need to continue the Chemo until surgery is needed.

It has been a whirlwind of doctor's appointments and continued questions. There is a lot of physical pain, emotional anxiety, and all the fallout from chemotherapy: hair loss, weight loss, and exhaustion.

If you know Julia, she is not a quitter! She is a force of nature, with AMAZING POSITIVE energy. She has made a good living as a self-employed artist for many years. However, there is no way that Julia can make her living right now, she cannot be in the studio standing and working with a hot kiln for hours. The summer months are her bread and butter, with all the Art Festivals and Fairs, she has to withdraw.

Julia is facing financial hardship right now, with both the loss of her income for months and a heap of medical bills.
