Help Julia Recover from Devastating Flood
Donation protected
Our beloved friend and community member, Julia, lost her home at the 'Heartbreak Hotel' in the devastating Plainfield Village flood last night.
The flood washed away half of the building, home to 12 people and 6 cats. While all of the humans are safe and sound, they have lost everything. Julia has lost her entire apartment, all of her belongings. Her beloved cat, Sugar Lemon, was in the apartment when the building washed away, and is still missing.
Julia is a small business owner who runs a web development business, and has worked with many central Vermont businesses and organizations that folks around here would recognize, building their websites, providing tech support, and providing marketing services. She has been an involved and committed member of the central Vermont community for over 10 years, including being an integral part of her roller derby team, Green Mountain Roller Derby.
Julia will need to find a new place to live (no small feat in this town), and will also need to replace everything that was in her apartment - furniture, all her skates and derby gear, kitchen items, clothing, etc.
Please support Julia in rebuilding her life! Any amount is helpful.
