Help Julia with a serious medical emergency

Hello everyone, my name is Megan Marshall and on behalf of Julia and her family, I am writing to let you know that she has experienced a serious and unexpected medical emergency. Julia is a warrior and has overcome setbacks before. I know she can do it again but she needs our help. Any contributions, big or small, are greatly appreciated, as are all the positive thoughts you can send her way. Thank you. xo

Here are some words from Julia:

After being very sick for several weeks, I was diagnosed with double pneumonia on February 28th. While home recovering from that, I woke with excruciating abdominal pain which was severe enough for me to go to the emergency room. On March 6th I was admitted to St. Clare's for a severe case of Diverticulitis and had emergency surgery that night to remove part of my colon that had died and subsequently erupted throughout my abdominal cavity. I was also quickly developing Sepsis, with several abdominal organs at risk of failure.

Thankfully I pulled through surgery and am on the road to recovery. Thank you to my family, phenomenal doctors, and close friends who are continuing to help me through all of this. I will be in the hospital for a little while yet and then the next steps begin.

Here is where I'm hoping you can help.

There are some immediate expenses that need to be covered. I will not be able to return to work for at least 10 weeks. At this point, I'm not sure what my existing medical insurance will cover and though I am EI eligible, it will be a small amount and won't kick in for several weeks.

In addition, I will need to move. My current place of residence is not conducive to my medical needs and will not be helpful in the healing journey I have ahead. There is urgency in meeting these financial needs.
