Help Juliana and Her Children Rebuild After the SoCal Wildfires
Dear Friends, Family, Colleagues, and Compassionate Supporters,
My name is Louis Harris, and today I reach out to you on behalf of my incredibly brave sister, Juliana. Recently, the devastating SoCal Wildfires turned her life—and that of her young children—upside down.
Juliana is a devoted mother to two wonderful toddlers. Our family has modest roots, with each of us working tirelessly to carve out a decent life. Despite these humble beginnings, my sister has faced more than her fair share of challenges. Just a year ago, she bravely ended an abusive relationship with her husband who is the children's father, determined to forge a safer, happier path for her family.
Since then, she has single-handedly shouldered the financial responsibilities of her household and her ongoing and expensive divorce. The separation left her grappling with debts that were incurred during her marriage due to the lies and false promises of her children's father who has still yet to materialize any responsibility for their financial lives together. She remains undeterred, slowly working to regain her financial footing. However, just as she was finding her balance, the wildfires swept through, erasing all she had worked so hard to rebuild.
Today, I am turning to you for help. Juliana's son, who has special needs, and her daughter, a joyful little soul, both lost their schools to the fire. They now find themselves in urgent need of basic necessities—clothing, toys, furniture, hygiene products, and food. They also require financial assistance to secure housing, covering upfront costs like the first month's rent, last month's rent, and a security deposit.
We have set a goal of $20,000 to give Juliana and her children a fresh start in the aftermath of this tragedy. Every contribution, no matter the size, will help them rebuild their lives in Los Angeles County, one of the most expensive places to live.
Thank you for your kindness, generosity, and support during this challenging time. Together, I believe we can help Juliana and her children emerge stronger from these ashes.
And as with all of the victims of the SoCal fires, we are wishing you a strong recovery and the strength to carry on. We are with you.
