Help Julie beat colon cancer

Hi, for those of you that don't know me, my name is Julie. I'm a 40 year old wife and mom to two amazing teens (also a dog mom).

I was diagnosed with colon cancer in October 2021. After multiple doctors appointments and ER visits, I was referred to a gastroenterologist who scheduled a colonoscopy/endoscopy. During that procedure a large polyp was discovered in my lower colon and removed. It turned out to be cancerous. I've since had 2 more procedures and will be meeting with my oncology team next week to plan my chemotherapy and radiation therapy.

Things are a little scary and stressful right now. I am not the type to tell people my business, which is why I've kept this quiet for so long. I don't want people feeling bad for me or treating me different. I am also not the type to ask for help, it's hard for me.

Unfortunately, I'm a little embarrassed to say, this is starting to affect my family financially. With me out of work since October, the medical bills that are coming in fast and steady, and the travel to and from Boston, we're starting to struggle. Being late on bills is not something that feels good.

I just want to alleviate a little of that stress, and concentrate on healing.
