Help Julie in her battle with Cancer
Hi, my name is Mike and I am submitting this request on behalf of my Sister Julie Fincham.
Julie was diagnosed with uterine cancer in early June and further testing revealed a cancerous spot on her colon. Her team of Doctors at the Emily Couric Cancer Center in Charlottesville determined the best course of treatment would be chemotherapy, surgery then more chemotherapy. More specifically, one treatment every 3 weeks, 3 times followed by another CT scan. If things have shrunk, they will do a hysterectomy, wait 2 weeks then do 3 more chemo treatments.
Julie is a hairdresser and loves interacting with her clients and making them look fantastic. Unfortunately because of her diagnosis, her Doctors told her she would not be able to return to work until sometime early next year. Needless to say this will have a significant impact on her family’s finances at a time when expenses will only go up.
If you or a family member have been touched by cancer, you know this type of diagnosis affects more than just the patient. Julie‘s diagnosis has impacted her family and upended normal daily life. While some of the medical costs are covered by insurance, many are not and there are a lot of out-of-pocket medical and travel expenses associated with her ongoing treatment along with the lost income.
Her family and friends are raising money to help ease the financial burden, allowing Julie to focus on beating this! Please help us share her story and raise money to offset her growing expenses.
Finally and most importantly, please remember Julie and her husband Brett in your prayers!
Thank you for helping us reach our goal & God Bless!
