Help Julie Mendel Hoffman fight for her life!!

Julie’s friends and family are rallying together to support her in the fight for her life!

Recently, our dear friend Julie, was diagnosed with squamous cell head and neck cancer. If you know Julie, you know she is one of the most loving, caring, giving and selfless souls. She would do anything…for anyone...no questions asked. You would also know just how resilient and determined she is. In 2016, Julie was attacked by a dog. It was an intense attack that resulted in facial trauma. When most would have let that get them down, Julie did not. She was always extremely thankful that she survived the attack. She felt blessed and she felt loved. Mike, her now husband, stayed by her side and their relationship grew even stronger after the accident. They married in 2019. Everything about the day was magical. Everyone present could feel the love! She continued to show up every single day. And her resilience exuded from her. Everything was going well until the end of 2022. Julie noticed something was going on and sought out medical help. She was originally seen at Shand’s Hospital in Gainesville, Florida but was then referred to Moffitt Cancer Center. She has now been diagnosed with head and neck cancer. The cancer is aggressive and has caused facial and mouth tumors. It became hard for Julie to talk, so she was unable to continue working. Julie works at Positano’s Ristorante. Positano’s is not just a job to her. This place is filled with people that she considers more like family. The staff and the patrons bring Julie such joy. Even with everything she is enduring, she still never looses hope! She is ready to fight this with everything she has! So now it’s time for us to rally around her! This go fund me page was established to help alleviate the stress her loss of income has caused on her and her husband, Mike. Any donations will help with medical bills, travel for treatments and cost of living. We want her to be able to spend her time and energy on treatments and healing versus worrying about medical or living expenses. Julie begins her journey in the upcoming weeks. She will receive a port and G-tube to sustain her. Her treatments that follow will include radiation then chemotherapy. She has a long road ahead of her, but she has all of us in her corner!
