Here Is An Update!!

On June 26,2024 at 7:30 am my right leg was amputated below the Knee (BKA). The medical staff tried their best to save it but it wasn't possible. Now I'm waiting to get help and medical coverage for a prosthetic leg. At this moment I'm still not working and waiting for answers. God has Control and i know he will answer my prayers.

On July 2, 2022 I was in a car accident where it was not noticed that I had suffered a fractured pinky toe. At the time I was working as a Patient Transporter and was pushing beds, wheelchairs and stretchers. Me also being diabetic did not notice that the bone went through the foot and caused it an infection.

had surgery and the bone was removed. Going forward on December 19 2023 I had a second surgery to fix the problem. At that time I needed some time to heal but I had accepted a new job and was starting on January 2nd 2024. I needed to have a PICC line for antibiotics but because of the new job it was impossible to have it on me. Also since my job is moving patients I could not be doing lite duty. On May 26 2024 while at work I suffered a health situation and was taken to the ER. After bloodwork they found an infection AGAIN in the foot which lead to an emergency surgery on Monday May 27. Now they placed another PICC on my artery and wound care to the foot. Because I have only been working for 5 months I have no FMLA benefits and had to take a 10 weeks leave of absence. Because of this will not be able to work and not have an income for my medical bills, health insurance and my share of regular bills.

Those who know me, know I'm not the type of person to ask for help. At this moment I know that GOD will guide me through this.

Mi nombre es Julio Estrada. El 2 de julio de 2022 tuve un accidente automovilístico donde no se notó que había sufrido una fractura en el dedo meñique del pie. En ese momento yo trabajaba como Transportista de Pacientes y empujaba camas, sillas de ruedas y camillas. Yo también siendo diabético no noté que el hueso atravesó el pie y le provocó una infección. Fue operado y le extirparon el hueso. De cara al 19 de diciembre de 2023, me sometieron a una segunda cirugía para solucionar el problema. En ese momento necesitaba algo de tiempo para sanar pero había aceptado un nuevo trabajo y estaba comenzando el 2 de enero de 2024. Necesitaba tener una línea PICC para antibióticos pero debido al nuevo trabajo era imposible tenerla conmigo. Además, como mi trabajo consiste en trasladar pacientes, no podría realizar tareas ligeras. El 26 de mayo de 2024 estando en el trabajo sufrí un problema de salud y fui llevado a urgencias. Después de los análisis de sangre, encontraron OTRA VEZ una infección en el pie, lo que llevó a una cirugía de emergencia el lunes 27 de mayo. Ahora colocaron otro PICC en mi arteria y cuidaron la herida del pie. Debido a que solo he estado trabajando durante 5 meses, no tengo beneficios de FMLA y tuve que tomar una licencia de 10 semanas. Debido a esto no podré trabajar y no tendré ingresos para mis facturas médicas, seguro médico y mi parte de las facturas regulares. Quienes me conocen saben que no soy el tipo de persona que pide ayuda. En este momento sé que DIOS me guiará en esto. Cualquier ayuda es muy apreciada. ¡¡¡Dios los bendiga a todos!!!
