Help Julio Kick Cancer to the Curb!

Hi, my name is Kelly and I’m raising funds on behalf of one of my dearest friends, Julio Maxwell. After suffering for more than a year with frustrating symptoms including undiagnosed pain that recently became unbearable, our darling Julio has just been diagnosed with lymphoma. We are seeking financial support to assist Julio and his wonderful husband Brian for medical and living expenses during the challenging weeks and months ahead during his treatment.

America being what it is, there is no guarantee as to what will be covered by insurance. Julio’s husband Brian is a beloved school bus driver and may need to take some time off from work, and these funds will also allow him to be there for Julio as they move through this difficult time together.

If you’ve been in the bead shop in Garibaldi, and possibly in Portland before that, chances are you’ve seen our superstar Julio in action. You may have also seen his beautiful paintings, beaded shadow boxes, and crocheted bead jewelry. More than that, if you’ve had any interaction with him at all, you know that he is a light in this world, and an absolute angel to his friends and family. He literally picked me up during the worst time in my life, and I’m certain I’m not the only one who can say that.

I’m hoping that we can all band together and at least partially give back some of what dearest Julio has bestowed upon us without ever asking for anything in return.
