Help June's Family Move To A Safe State
My name is June, I run the Facebook page The Zebra Effect, I am a disability advocate and artist. I previously had a GoFundMe for building our house, but became discouraged and stopped updating and apparently it was removed by GoFundMe.
Well, we almost have a real home to live in! We are currently living in the part that is finished, which is the laundry room a bathroom, and my bedroom. Hubs is working on the living room and kitchen and hopefully that will be done soon. Once I have a kitchen I plan on live streaming while I'm cooking/doing other activities, and overall going live more often.
This is not why I am starting this GoFundMe, however. We have enough materials to build it, well most of it, it's doable at least.
(small update: my kitchen is functional, but we need insulation!)
We tried buying a camper trailer so we could go access medical care in a different state, unfortunately the people that sold us it scammed us. They painted it, and made it look pretty, but the insides were rotten. That purchase took all of what we had saved up, and it ended up being trash.
This time we plan on going through an RV dealer and getting a motorhome, because we also lost our vehicle last year. (My husband was sick with covid and driving home, he didn't see a semi truck coming at him and totalled our truck).
Having a motorhome just makes more sense as it will open up opportunity for us to travel to the specialists we need for Ehlers Danlos Syndrome,Dysautonomia, Cranio Cervical Instability, and Mast Cell Activation Syndrome (these specialists all live in different states across the US)
So, I have looked into motorhomes around here and $20k will be enough to get a small one for our family from an appropriate motorhome sales business instead of some backwoods hillbilly in the middle of nowhere.
I will be updating this as we go. I expect it'll probably take at least a few years to reach my goal, but I will not give up on this one.
Thank you for taking the time to read this.
