**Support Justin Ternus on His Journey to Recovery**
Dear friends and family,
We are reaching out to share the story of Justin Ternus, a loving husband, father, brother, son and friend who has faced significant heart complications over the past 12 years. At 39, Justin experienced a heart attack and was diagnosed with congestive heart failure at 43. At 44, he had an ICD (implantable cardioverter defibrillator) placed to help manage his condition.
At 47, Justin went into cardiac arrest, and his ICD saved his life by activating six times. Recently, after undergoing an Ablation to address electrical issues in his heart, Justin's ICD went off multiple times in recovery. He was intubated and moved to the Cardiac ICU, where he suffered a Code Blue. Thanks to the incredible crash team, he was saved after 30 minutes and rushed to surgery, where an ECMO device and an Impella were implanted to support his heart function.
Currently, Justin is heavily sedated and reliant on these machines as the medical team determines the next steps. If all goes well, he will receive an LVAD (Left Ventricular Assist Device) to help his heart pump blood effectively while he waits for a heart transplant. Justin will face several weeks of hospitalization and a long road to recovery.
His wife, Michelle, will need to be by his side during this critical time. We are asking for your support to help cover healthcare costs and living expenses so that Michelle can focus on Justin's recovery without financial stress.
Please consider contributing to Justin's GoFundMe campaign. Your generosity will make a significant difference in their lives during this challenging period.
Thank you for your support, thoughts, and prayers.
