Thank you ~ Cindy ~

Hi! Thank you for coming to this page. Please allow me to introduce myself. My name is Cindy Sandor and I currently live in Conneaut, Ohio. I am setting up this Go Fund Me Account to help my friend, Justin "Duffy" Reed, from Safety Harbor, FL, who has recently lost his home and all his belongings from Hurricane Milton.

I have known Justin for 28 years. He is my best friend. I met him at the Harbor Palms Park in Oldsmar, Florida, where I used to live. While walking my black lab, Lady Dog, I stepped out onto the dock and there he was in his boat. He was fishing the Oldsmar canal for blue crabs. You can see him in the photo.

I asked him what he was doing and he explained to me how he was "blue crabbing." It was from this moment that our friendship developed.

Justin taught me all about blue crabs. I spent three years with him on his boat so that I can have the hours to secure my Master's Captain's License. I learned all about blue crabs including how to clean, cook, and even make sushi Spider Rolls using Justin's premium soft shell blue crabs.

In business, he always puts his clients first. On many occasions, he has opened his home to his friends when they were in a dire situation. He is always there for you when you need him.

Every year, Justin and I would host an annual 'Seafood Fest' party at my home. It started with 2 people, then the next year 4. By the 10th year, 65 people showed up at my house.

Justin always found the time to help me, whether it was fixing the plumbing in the bathroom, painting, cutting my lawn, or taking care for 'Lady Dog,' when I left to visit my family. He has always been there for me.

Justin has an altruistic personality and as long as I have known him, he has always helped his friends and family members.

Justin is a full time blue crabber. He was on Anthony Bourdain's TV show called "What's Your Trip?" featured as "The Crab King of Tampa Bay," a designation he earned many many years ago when he started fishing those waters some 50 years ago. I uploaded the video here.

I received a text from Justin this morning saying "Got down to the house 5 feet of water inside. Lost biggest part of everything. I'm here cleaning up. All the water is gone but the house [and all my possessions] are ruined. I'll text you later. Bye."
.
In his second text he said, "I don't know what I am going to do. Everybody's out of town. I am just going to sit here and think about it a little bit."

Justin is devastated and this is why I am starting a "Go Fund Me Page," for my dearest friend.

Any little bit helps, even if it is $5. The money donated will go directly to Justin. This will help him get back on his feet; to find a new place to live, money to buy a new bed, furniture, refrigerator, clothes, and the basic necessities including personal and everyday items for his well-being.

UPDATE: I just got off the phone with Justin. He told me that he has lost everything. He will find help to removed all his possessions and place them on the curb to be removed. He said he will stay at the hotel for another week and during this time start rebuilding his life and find a new place to live. He was very happy to hear that I set up this Go Fund Me Account for him. He told me he greatly appreciates the help.

Thank you for taking time to read this and for your valuable donation. It means a great deal to me that you are contributing to Justin's Go Fund Me Page. I think it's time to come together and help Justin in his dire time of need.
