UPDATE
Week 5 Chemo
Today was chemo treatment #5, accessing the port is still traumatic but there were slightly less tears today as compared to last week- so I call it progress nonetheless. In honor of Barbie week , Justin was gifted a hot pink chemo Stitch shirt where he has a zipper on his chest where his port is located for easy access. This shirt is really amazing as Justin is always cold during his treatments with his shirt off and asks for warm blankets, so todays treatment was much more comfortable for him. He also hates looking at his port and seeing the Iv line, so this shirt was a success. I was able to order him a blue chemo shirt, hopefully it comes soon lol he did get a TON of compliments so there’s that Justin looks forward to seeing our sweet therapy dog Loopie after his port access and that is the highlight of his treatments. He even had his big brother Nick accompany him today which always helps. Overall today was the best chemo treatment day he’s had so far. We also get to back off on his steroid treatment today to twice a day so this should help with his fatigue. Justin is now resting after his big day
This is Justin.
Justin is a sweet 2-year-old boy who was recently diagnosed with a very rare pediatric cancer. Justin's Dad and Mom are Matt and Stephanie Roman. His big brother is Nick!
We recently found the lesions in his bone had spread and need to be treated with IV chemotherapy to prevent further lesions and spread to his organs. On July 6th, Justin had a port placed and started aggressive IV chemotherapy which he will be needing for the next year.
We are asking for our community to come together to help him, help his parents and their oldest son Nick get through this extremely difficult time. This past year has been extremely difficult for Justin, as he has already had 2 hospitalizations with his last hospital stay being 10 days long.
Justin is a fighter, but the future holds a long and difficult road for him and his family.
We ask that you please donate to this fundraiser to help with the medical costs associated with IV chemotherapy treatment and medical costs associated with treatment. Justin and his family need our support during this time. Please keep him and his family in your nightly prayers!
