Help Justin’s Family After Tragedy, Suicide Awareness
Donation protected
Hello, my name is Kylee Irwin. This past week my family has endured a massive loss, our father Justin Lee Scott devastatingly took his own life on Wednesday May 8th, 2024 leaving behind a wife of 16 years, 4 children ages 12, 13, 15 and 23, one grandson aged 2, plus many other family members- after years of suffering with his own mental struggles.
Many things led him down this path of anguish, some things we could understand and others we could not. Anyone who knew my dad, knew that in his sober state he was one of the most laid-back, loving, protective and hard working men any of us had ever known. This outcome was something none of us had ever imagined being possible. Watching someone struggle down a path of drugs and depression, it can be extremely difficult to know what to do in order to help that person. Our family, especially my mom- has suffered alongside Justin, hoping that our motivation to do better and be healthier would offer an ounce of clarity to him. But as many of you know, sometimes it’s just impossible to force someone to change. And unfortunately the justice system failed him miserably during this whole time as well. We loved my dad every moment, good and bad. At the end of it all, the decision for his future laid in Justin’s hands and he unfortunately decided that his choice was leaving this earth. I’m asking for anyone capable, anyone who understands this pain, to please donate money to help my mom support my siblings after such a tragic loss. My dad was the main income source for my mom and three younger siblings- leaving my mom in a very difficult position currently trying to find a way to keep afloat while also dealing with the loss of her husband of 16 years. Any money donated will be going to covering living expenses, food expenses, any remaining memorial expenses and support for school for my three siblings. My family didn’t deserve any of these things that they’ve had to endure, and I would be so grateful to anyone willing to help them during this horrible time. Justin wasn’t my biological father, I lost my biological dad when I was 6 due to drunk driving. But Justin never made me feel like I was any less than his own blood, he was the only dad I ever knew and he was just what my mom and I needed when he came into our lives. He was truly amazing. We are all going to miss the person we knew he was before all the chaos, it’s a pain that is indescribable. It’s just devastating.
Please keep them in your prayers, please check on your family members and more than anything remember to tell people you love them as much as you can. You never know when the last time you see someone will be, stay thankful to those you have here in this world.
Thank you all.
