Help Justis Mapes Heart Go On. We still need help!

Howdy, my name is Jacinda and I'm fundraising for my 28 yr old brother Justis. He was diagnosed with a severe heart defect in December. It is the same genetic defect that both our mother in 2011 and one of our other brothers has already died from in 2022. We have experinced so much loss and can not bare the thought of losing another family member. Our hearts are crushed at the news Justis has been given and the new reality of his life we all are having a hard time accepting. He is scheduled to receive a heart transplant in the near future and he is currently wearing a ZOLL life vest that is keeping him alive but he is having serious complications. His life and death situation has become even more dire when we received the news that his medication to help his heart function is not working for him. We also found out that there is now fluid around his heart. He is medically unable to work and unable to lift more than a gallon of milk. We are trying desperately to raise funds to help him with his living and medical expenses. He was forced to make a decision between working and keeping his job or keeping medical appointments to help try and save his life. Needless to say he chose to go to the doctors and lost his job in the process. Since he has not been able to work, he is now losing his home on top of possibly losing his life. The devastation just keeps unfolding and we are trying to remain hopeful although our previous losses have made it hard to have a positive outlook on his condition. Justis has faced adversity before and overcome them by fighting hard every day. He has always remained upbeat and steadfast through it all and has never given up. Justis refuses to give up now. Now more than ever Justis truly values his life and is doing everything possible to preserve it. But he needs help. HE NEEDS OUR HELP!!! We are trying to find suitable and affordable living arrangements and tackle his mounting personal and medical expenses and allow him some peace of mind while he is going through things a 28 year old should never have to experience. The stress he is under is only causes him more discomfort and complications. Please share and please donate whatever you feel compelled and are able to do. We desperately need help.
