I am entering my third-year at Grinnell College this fall, majoring Biology with a concentration in Neuroscience. I was just accepted into the IES Abroad Queen Mary Program in London.
I am privileged to have this life-changing opportunity of studying abroad in London for the fall term of 2019. I'm asking my friends and family to join me on this adventure of a lifetime! I promise to update you, share pictures and what I learn and have you experience my journey with me through regular posts. By supporting me you will be making a difference in my education and affirming that dreams do come true!
My Present Goal: The total cost to study abroad is around $36,000 which includes (tuition, room & board, institution fees, etc.), I’ve been fortunate enough receive a scholarship from Grinnell for most of the cost leaving me with a responsibility of $8000 to cover airfare, insurance, and living. My goal is to work this summer and cover $6000 leaving me with a shortage of $2000. I'm committed to being an example for my younger cousins and others; I want to show them that they can succeed no matter what obstacles are thrown your way.
I believe that with hard work and commitment, anything is possible and I thank you for helping me achieve my goals. Whatever you have in your heart to give, rather it is $1, $5, $20, $50, or $100, please understand that a little goes a long way and any donation, no matter how small, is greatly appreciated.
