Help Kaiju live on his own 3 feet

On Tuesday morning (11/9) our beloved badass cat Kaiju (aka Tubba, Bubas) showed up at home unable to move. It appeared that he had been hit by a car and had dragged himself home by scaling the 6 foot backyard fence, the outside deck stairs and across the deck to come rest at the patio door, and started meowing for help. It was a heart breaking sight. We rushed him to the vet, we couldn’t touch him anywhere without causing him pain. After careful consideration and consulting with the doctors and from the X-ray results, it was determined that an amputation was the best course of action. 3-legged animals do very well and adjust to their predicament and we believe our orange boy can thrive on 3 legs. All this surgery does not come cheap. Knowing what a financial burden this places on us, friends have offered to help and suggested we start this Go Fund Me page. It is not our custom to reach out this way, but with coaxing from the ones we love, and Kaiju being our baby, we have embarked on this fund raising quest. We can’t imagine life without him 4 or 3 legged.

 

Any little bit helps. We are so grateful that Kaiju survived this very tragic incident, but have hope that he will be up to his playful shenanigans again, albeit a little slower. He is only 2.5 years old, and has many more happy years ahead of him.
