Kailey's Calling to California
Donation protected
Hi, my name is Kailey and I have recently been presented with an incredible opportunity to serve in a way that I never thought would be possible.
A few weeks ago, I attended THE SEND conference with my youth group. Through this, God opened a major door in my life. A few days after attending, I received a call from someone from the Circuit Riders Team (one of the teams that makes THE SEND possible). I was asked if I would willing to join the team as a host to help bring the love of Jesus to my college campus; of course, I said YES! My main goal in life is for people to see the light of Jesus through me, so I was thrilled to have an opportunity to do something that would bring the Gospel to Juniata College. This opportunity would allow me to travel to Boston in September and Nashville in February to attend more of THE SEND conferences and to start a movement on my college campus. After accepting this offer, I prayed that God would show me where he wanted to use me and I said that I was willing to do whatever I had to do and go wherever I had to go.
God must have heard that prayer because another huge opportunity was soon placed in front of me right after the last one - to attend the Circuit Riders Experience. This is a 7-month discipleship training school by YWAM filled with people on fire for Jesus. I would have the chance to get trained and activated in my passions, skills and the cultures of Jesus. I would attend, plan, and execute evangelism outreaches, ministry nights, and wild training experiences. After my training, I would do local outreach in California and then join the Carry The Love TOUR – an international outreach to hundreds of schools around the globe. I will be trained and sent out to carry the love to colleges, universities, and high schools.
This program would be life-changing. I never thought that I would ever be on this path, but I have never felt more confident in any calling. I feel like God has strongly placed it on my heart to go to California. As I told my dad, I don't know why I'm going, other than that I feel like this is what I'm supposed to do. God said to go, so I'm going! (Even though it is so far out of my comfort zone and something I never thought I would ever do).
Traveling and living in California carries quite a cost, not to mention the cost of the program. This fundraiser will help cover all of the costs that I might face. I am confident that if this is what I'm supposed to do, God is going to make it happen.
Will you help me in my mission to show hearts around the world the love of Jesus?
