Help Kaitlin Restart
Donation protected
On January 15, 2021 Kaitlin received the tragic news that her husband Erick had passed away. This was unexpected, sudden and heart breaking. Her husband was the sole income earner, driving cross country driving trucks, while Kaitlin stayed home with their two young daughters and two dogs. Now, Kaitlin is facing the challenge of heading back into the work force, raising two girls as a young widow, and grieving the loss of her husband. I'd like to show her that she has a community who has her back as she gets back on her feet.
Kaitlin and the girls are grieving, but resilient. They will be heading closer to family and healing in the Pacific Northwest as she and the girls start this next chapter, but will need some financial assistance to settle into a new home. After reviewing her expenses, the amount that is listed here will cover the cost of the move, grief counseling for all three of them and two months of living expenses as Kaitlin starts looking for employment and childcare.
She is eligible for some government assistance and insurance monies, but it will likely just cover the cost of burial arrangements, and there isn't a clear timeline of when those funds might become available. My hope is that we will be able to help her make the move back to Seattle without having to worry about finances. If you have a few dollars to donate, it would go a long way towards helping this family of strong women recover.
