Help Kaitlyn Start College Despite Loss

Hello all. My name is Helen Scotto Kaitlyn’s grandmother. I’m reaching out today in the hopes of helping my granddaughter Kaitlyn through what is the most definitely the hardest time she will ever go through. Last Saturday, Robin’s husband and Kaitlyn’s beloved father, Jeff Wilters, passed away after a brave battle with cancer. His death was so sudden and unexpected that everyone, especially my girl is still reeling. Of course, times like these are never easy, but it gets even more painful due to the fact that Kaitlyn is due to start college this fall.
We’re all so very proud of Kaitlyn for accepting early admission into York College of Pennsylvania and diving headfirst into an education in Hospitality and Tourism Management. We know she will shine brightly and do amazing things in this field. She’s so passionate about her dreams, it’s heartbreaking to think that it might all be derailed.
The passing of a loved one is something that always comes with struggles; emotional, financial, and otherwise. My family is bearing the brunt of all of these. There have been unexpected final expenses, and a delay in settling Jeff’s finances. Unfortunately, this has left Kaitlyn in a lurch in terms of paying for her first semester. These unforeseen and tragic circumstances are putting her start date of August 22nd in jeopardy.
We want so badly to see her off to school, and we can’t do it without the kindness and generosity of others. Any amount is immensely appreciated. Thank you for your time.I’m
