Help Kalab Regain His Independence and Freedom
Donation protected
Kalab Robinson, a 22-year-old with a passion for the water and a deep love for his community, was once an active and adventurous young man. As a waterman, he lived for days spent fishing, hunting, and exploring the outdoors. A tragic accident on August 6, 2022, left him with a shattered C4 vertebra and a long road to recovery. Thanks to his incredible determination and the support of friends, family, and generous donors, Kalab has defied doctors' expectations, making strides in his rehabilitation.
But life is still challenging, and Kalab's greatest wish is to regain some of the independence he lost. Together, we can help Kalab achieve that goal. He is hoping to raise enough money to purchase a reliable and SAFE vehicle as he would like to get back into the workforce and live life as an independent 22 year old man!
We were able to purchase a used passenger van 2 years ago to get Kalab to appointments, but it has a 70 lb lift that needs to be manually put into place every time he enters and exits the vehicle. Not only is it heavy, but it is unsafe. He needs at least 3 parking spaces to unload, which creates a whole different issue. If it rains, he can't go anywhere because the ramp is too slippery to get up and down.
