Help Kalen Diaz Lay His Loving Mother to Rest
Donation protected
We are heartbroken to share that Rachel Cantor, a bright, witty, and fiercely caring woman, tragically passed away last night at her place of employment, Ollie’s Bargain Outlet. Rachel was known for her infectious humor, outspoken personality, and unwavering devotion to her son, Kalen Diaz, who was the center of her world. She worked tirelessly to provide for him, always doing her best to ensure he had everything he needed, even during difficult times.
Last night, when Rachel didn’t return home from work, Kalen sat up all night waiting, only to receive the devastating news that his mother would not be coming home. At just 19 years old, Kalen is now faced with an unimaginable burden—planning his mother’s burial, honoring her last wishes, and trying to secure basic needs like housing and food, all while grieving the profound loss of the one person who meant everything to him.
Rachel was a beacon of light to everyone who knew her. Her kindness touched so many, and she always found a way to help others, even when she was struggling herself. Now, in the wake of her sudden passing, we are reaching out for support to help Kalen navigate this incredibly difficult time. Without his mother’s income, he is trying to figure out how to cover basic living expenses while also arranging her burial with the help of a few current and former Ollie’s employees.
Any donation, no matter the size, will go toward helping Kalen secure stable housing, food, and resources while he tries to put the pieces of his life back together after this devastating loss. Funds will also be used to give Rachel the dignified and loving farewell she deserves.
Kalen has lost not only his mother but his sole provider and support system. Your generosity will help ease some of the overwhelming burdens he now faces as he tries to navigate life without her.
Thank you from the bottom of our hearts for any contribution you can make, and for keeping Kalen in your thoughts during this incredibly painful time.
With gratitude,
