Help Kami-jo Get to Jr High National Rodeo Finals

Fourteen year old Kami-jo Jorian just returned from the California Jr High State Rodeo Finals in Red Bluff, Ca, where she qualified for and competed in five rodeo events. She and her horse, “Badger” were awarded Champion Pole Bender for the entire State of Ca. She and Badger now qualify for the National rodeo competition to be held in Huron, South Dakota the last week of June. Kami-jo, Badger, and family will make the long trip to South Dakota in June to compete along with many other Ca State qualifiers.


Kami-jo works tremendously hard practicing all her events and does them all on Badger.  Badger is a six year old gelding who came to us as a two year old small, thin, lame and depressed horse with no training. Through lots of hard work, and lots of love, Kami-jo and her mom have turned that sad young horse into an incredible Champion!  Kami-jo and Badger have won several awards and titles including “All Around Cowgirl” at our local Tehachapi Rodeo Assoc. and Ca State Jr High Reserve Pole Bending Champion last year.


These two athletes have a really good shot at winning a National title in Huron. The only thing standing in their way is the cost and logistics there and back.
