Help Kara cope with the loss of her Soulmate Murph

Donation protected
Sometimes it's hard for people to ask for help. Kara is no exception. 2023 was a difficult year for her. Kara has not only been trying to survive the loss of her soulmate Murph of almost 20 years, but she has also endured an extended battle with Covid and more recently a long battle with bronchitis, a constant struggle to maintain and repair her home, to keep the lights on, and fuel in the tank to stay warm.

While sick with Covid Kara had to go without working plumbing, tv, and Internet due to having no power to her home.

Kara and Murph met at a mutual friend's house on October 31, 2004. They spent every day together until his passing. They were madly in love, each other's best friend, and soulmate. Kara describes Murph as absolutely perfect. She gushes as she describes him as the most kind, intelligent, compassionate, loyal, empathetic, generous, and loving soul. Kara says that Murph loved everyone unconditionally and accepted people just as they are which is one of the many things she admired and loved about him. They shared a beautiful and happy life together.

One dream Murph had was to secure a home for them so that Kara would never need to worry about where they would live. Kara's so thankful he lived to see that dream come true.

Sadly, Murph was diagnosed with a type of bone cancer known as multiple myeloma on April 5, 2019. He went through several rounds of treatments. Everything from radiation, chemo, an autologous stem cell transplant, and most recently a clinical trial at Dana Farber and Brigham's and Women's in Boston.

She's tough, she's a survivor, and she has a plan. Kara just needs a little help to get there. She has a job offer that would provide her with everything she needs to get back to work and back to some semblance of normalcy. She just needs a car to get her there. She also could use help paying for some repairs to her home and to bring her mortgage current. We can help make that possible.

Grief and loss make a comfortable life unbearable, yet they rarely travel alone. Financial instability, added medical and funeral expenses, the loss of income and benefits, and the knowledge that your closest confidant and partner is no longer there to share these worries. Your burdens can become paralysing. Please join me in helping Kara moved forward through this difficult time.
