Help Karen & Geoff rebuild thier life

I have known Karen for many years through running. She is one of the BEST people I've ever met and well-loved by the Perth running community. I'm so sad to learn the recent devastating flood destroyed her shop at Condong, NSW. I'm setting up this page and hoping we can raise some relief funds to help Karen and Geoff rebuild their shop.

"Sorry for being quiet today. Trying to wrap my head and heart around the devastating loss that Geoff and I have suffered. We visited the shop this morning by kayak and paddle board, through water laced with diesel and oil. All this water came through the shop and residence.

This flood was worse than 2017, by more than 200mm. The water came through the shop at chest height, so 2.5m from ground level.

The destruction is incredible, and our beautiful shop is beyond recognition. Everything is lost, through the residence and the shop; all stock and personal belongings. All equipment. EVERYTHING.

We are not flood insured, as with many in this region. It is exorbitantly expensive, until you are faced with this situation.

These are but a handful of the very distressing photos of what we were faced with. Tomorrow, if the water has receded enough, we begin the painful process of throwing everything out.

We also lost both our cars, but thankfully my van was safe on higher ground.
