Support Karen's Journey to Financial Stability

Hi everyone, I’m fundraising for my stepmom, Karen. We both lost George, her husband and my father, to a long battle with COPD. George passed away peacefully with family at his side, but now his wife of 30 years must face the financial reality of life without her husband.

Karen and George have faced significant medical and financial hardship for several years now. Their income was limited exclusively to their combined Social Security payments which barely met their monthly needs. And now that George is gone, Karen will not be able to make ends meet without the help of her community.

Karen recently underwent major dental surgery to replace all of her teeth. She is only half way done with the process and the payments she’s making for her dental medical debt already exceed her individual monthly income. Your contributions can help her pay down her debt and make ends meet.

Once Karen is able to pay for her dental work, her Social Security income will better cover her monthly expenses, but until then, she could really use the kindness and support of her community and people like you to live a life we all deserve, one of safety and dignity.

If you’ve met Karen, you know she is an incredibly hardworking woman. She suffers from bouts of gout and persistent musculoskeletal pain that make walking and standing excruciating, yet she continually suffers through it to make ends meet. Karen has worked hard all her life and I hope that you can help ease the financial uncertainly she faces now that the love of her life has passed away.
