Help Karen with her Cancer Treatment

My name is Karen Shingler and I am 56 yrs old. I've lived in Victoria my whole life. I survived childhood abuse and as a result have been through more than most people in a lifetime. I kept this secret that almost destroyed me. I was made responsible for everything without having control of anything. I am a Christian and have leaned on God since I was a child. I graduated from Esq High and have been physically fit my entire life. I found a wonderful therapist who helped me heal from my past and gave me the love, support and knowledge to keep on living when i just wanted to die. I feel very blessed and am grateful for my friends and family who have stood by my side through thick and thin (although most did/do not know my history). I have often asked God how much more to I have to endure in this lifetime? Last March I was given another test, to survive and beat my diagnosis of left breast ER/PR+ invasive ductal carcinoma. This would have been devastating if not for realizing I can't control getting cancer but I can control how I deal with it. I pulled up my 'big girl' pants and went for it. In July I underwent a complete mastectomy of my left breast and was offered chemo and radiation. Chemo wasn't an option for me as I suffer from PTSD and depression. Since my cancer was contained to my breast tissue and had not metastasized the risks from chemo outweighed the "possible but no guarantee" benefit. I turned to Dr Gurdev Parmar, ND, Co-Founder and Medical Director of Canada's largest naturopathic health care facility, Integrated Health Clinic (IHC). Dr Parmar specializes in naturopathic oncology I had a consultation in person and follow up audio/video with Dr Parmar. He thoroughly explained his treatment options and encouraged me to undergo targetted radiation as one lymph node had a 5mm cancer cell in it. Once I complete my radiation I will be seeking treatments at IHC to assist in destroying any cancer cells left in my body. I do believe that our bodies are armed to fight off disease and I like the idea of integrating all health treatments. I am looking forward to becoming cancer free and living my best life possible. My treatments at this centre as estimated to cost close to 10,000 dollars. Thank you all in advance.
