Help Kari Steele’s family with medical expenses

As many of you know, Kari has been in and out of the hospital since January with an unknown diagnosis. She has been through several hospital systems as doctors struggled to determine the cause of her symptoms. Her condition has since quickly progressed and she is currently at U of M hospital where, multiple teams of specialist have been trying to figure out what is causing Kari’s symptoms. After weeks and weeks of of ups and downs Kari has been through countless tests and procedures. Family has had to endure an extremely emotional roller coaster as multiple diseases processes were being ruled out. As of now they believe that Kari is suffering from an autoimmune type encephalitis. The attack of this condition on her brain,  has caused permanent damage and after a long fight, Kari can no longer hold on. After 8 years of fighting non Hodgkin’s lymphoma, and now this terrible autoimmune encephalitis, Kari is in her final days . Kari’s family remains at her side at all times while she’s in the hospital and they keep her comfortable throughout this process.  We’re asking for help to pay for the medical expenses that continue to accrue as she approaches her third month in the hospital. On top of that, her husbands been out of work as he struggles to be there for Kari. Anything you donate to help out Kari’s family is very much appreciated. We all wish that they didn’t have to endure this financial burden during a time where all they should be focused on is Kari and her well-being. No one person alone, can offer this financial help they need but if everyone can come together to chip in, it could lighten the load during such a tough time.
