Help Karim rebuild his life in the States!

Hi Everyone,

 

As you know, on August 15th, we set out on a journey to help a few of our close allies. Little did we know, we would be assisting so many others. Unfortunately, we weren't able to assist everyone who asked for help. For those we were able to rescue, they are beginning their new lives in the states.

Karim, our first rescue, made it to the states safely after his fourth attempt, waiting an additional 19 hours without food or water. His perseverance paid off! He is now at a camp awaiting his medical evaluations and appropriate red-tape processing. We are so extremely excited to have him with us!!!

Karim was always looking out for Chris & his safety.  Now, it's our turn to help him begin his new journey here.  In The picture below, the guys are celebrating Eid. This holiday is equivalent to our Christmas but instead of wearing his traditional clothes, he wore western clothing to make Chris and his team feel at ease and welcomed. That is Karim in a nutshell. 

We plan on helping Karim get on his feet and start a new life with us here. My parents-in-law have been wonderful and offered to take him in for several months, rent-free. However, he will eventually want to be on his own with an apartment (at some point), clothes, household items, furniture, and such. 

We have had a great number of you tell us that you would like to donate to help Karim along, so we set up this page for that reason. He is extremely in awe and so so so appreciative of the love & support he has already received thus far.
