Help Karina and Rob Parker Fight Ovarian Cancer!!!

Loved ones -

After a hard stay in the hospital over the last week, Karina's body has grown very very weak and she is now resting surrounded by close family who are working to make her as comfortable as possible.

Karina, Rob and their families have shown incredible strength through all the ups and downs, pursued every opportunity for treatment and care, and taken every chance to make the most of time together.

There continues to be a great need for love and support of all kinds - whatever you are able to give - and that need will remain over the next few months and well into the future.

Karina and Rob are the type of people to give help, not ask for it. While nothing can lessen the pain and devastation of what they are going through right now, financial support can help take certain burdens off their shoulders: medical bills, day to day expenses, travel costs for family, mortgage and household expenses.

Rob and Karina want to express a very deep thanks to all who have visited and shared this page and their love. The kindness and generosity they have felt from all of you has been overwhelming and helped them make it through the day to day over a very difficult 11 months and also created opportunities for a few bright spots along the way.

Please help us raise funds for our beautiful, vibrant family member, Karina Parker and her devoted husband, Rob Parker. Karina received the sudden and serious diagnosis of stage three ovarian clear cell cancer (OCCC) after spending almost 2 weeks in the hospital over Christmas.

At only 34 years old, Karina’s cancer diagnosis was the last thing our family or doctors expected. This blow hit Rob and our entire family especially hard after losing Rob’s father, Bob Parker, to cancer earlier in the year.

Karina’s severe symptoms, which are exacerbated by her pain medication and the chemo treatments, have left her unable to work. Rob, who is self-employed, has had to scale back his workload almost entirely to care for Karina and limit her exposure to germs while she undergoes these immune system compromising treatments.

Rob and Karina need financial assistance to cover basic household expenses and Karina’s extensive medical bills. We are also hopeful that additional funds will give them access to alternative therapies and cancer trials that would otherwise be cost-prohibitive.

OCCC is known for being aggressive and resistant to traditional chemo treatments but additional resources may give Karina the fighting chance she needs.
